Zarasai is a small town in northeastern Lithuania, surrounded by many lakes and rivers. It is also a duo consisting of british/lithuanian cellist, composer, improviser Anton Lukoszevieze (based in London) and lithuanian composer, performer, sound artist Arturas Bumšteinas (based in Vilnius). In Zarasai duo Anton is playing Lithuanian folk chordophone instrument kanklės – read about kanklės here. Arturas is playing a compact set of digital and analogue instruments such as mini keyboards, samplers and effect processors.

Debut recording of Zarasai titled “Place Muzik” is released on Sangoplasmo Records in 2011.
